Chateau Lafite 1959 of 'outstanding colour and condition' leads the way at Acker

Hot on the heels of their April New York auction, Acker is proudly presenting two worthy successors taking place in May. There are a total of over 1,800 lots for your bidding pleasure and potentially US$15m dollars available between both Acker NY and Acker Asia live auctions.

Our first of the two new sales will kick off in New York on May 21, at Marea at 240 Central Park South - please note the later than usual start time of 11am.

Acker then round out the month of May with our 15th sale in Hong Kong. We begin Friday afternoon, May 27, at 4pm at the Island Shangri-La and continue with our second session beginning Saturday, May 28, at 12pm at Grissini in the Grand Hyatt.

It's difficult to summarise all the highlights from even one of these auctions, but some exceptional years of Chateau Lafite Rothschild are on offer:

Four bottles of 1982 Lafite are listed at $18,000-24,000, whist nine bottles of the great 1959 are expected to bring $26000-35000 - with the auctioneer especially noting the latter's "outstanding colour and condition".

Acker has continued to set records with its wine sales this year, including a spectacular world record price for 1978 Henri Jayer Richebourg.
