A set of signatures from the Beatles and Ed Sullivan following the band's first US performance, in 1964, have sold for $125,000 at Heritage Auctions.
The lot headlined the Entertainment and Music Memorabilia Signature Auction in New York on April 26-27.

The lot is the only known example to feature signatures from the Beatles and Sullivan, making it an exceptionally desirable piece.
In addition, the lot features a signature from the band's manager, Brian Epstein, as well as their tour manager and press officer. Heritage commented prior to the sale: "The other signatories on this piece are the ones that were right there at their sides as it occurred, helping to make it happen.
"Without a doubt, the most important piece of Beatle memorabilia ever to be offered."
The fab four proved immensely popular at the sale, with a signed Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band fan club poster achieving $59,375.
In March last year, a signed Sgt Pepper album made $290,500 - a record for an autographed Beatles album. Both were bought at a Beatles convention in 1984 and consigned by the same person.
A guitar once owned by ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons also sold well, achieving $37,500.
