1934 Talbot AV105 'Alpine Racer' to cross the block at Bonhams

A 1934 Talbot AV105 "Alpine Racer" is valued at £800,000-1.2m ($1.2m-1.8m) ahead of Bonhams' Bond Street Sale in London on November 30.

Georges Roesch, the marques chief designer, was behind the cars distinctive, muscular look.

Car dealer and racing driver Mike Couper was its first owner and achieved strong results in some of the best-known European meets of the era - including victory in the 1934 Alpine Cup

Bonhams comment: "This is a most important, iconic, multi-purpose, intensely useable and entirely practicable Post-Vintage Thoroughbred sports car offered in wonderfully original form yet in full running orderand positively dripping in motor sporting (and social) history from the 1930s.

"We absolutely recommend the closest consideration. It is an object of supreme quality for the most discerning of sports car connoisseurs."

A 1972 Ferrari Dino 246GT Coupe, formerly owned by Sir Elton John, is valued at £220,000-280,000 ($344,895-438,957).

The singer bought the car in 1972 but gave it to his drummer Nigel Olsson the following year.

A 1990 Ferrari F40 is set to cross the block at RM Auctions' Arizona sale on January 15-16 with a $1.1m-1.3m estimate.
