1963 Aston Martin powers to $819,000 victory at Newport Pagnell auction
A 1963 DB4 Series V Vantage Convertible, which sold for £507,500, was the leading lot at Bonhams' sale of Aston Martin cars and memorabilia on May 21.

The auction took place at the home of Aston Works Service, Newport Pagnell, also well-known as the location of Britain's first motorway services.

Impressive sales of £6m were achieved, with only one of the 245 lots offered remaining unsold.

Another 1963 Aston Martin DB4 Convertible, with only 60,000 miles on the clock, was also keenly fought over by potential investors, before selling for £309,500 against a pre-sale estimate of £80,000-140,000.
