1965 Ferrari 275 GTB from Maranello Rosso Collection to see $3.2m

A stunning 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB alloy-bodied Berlinetta will highlight Bonhams' New Bond Street auction on November 30 in London.

800 275 GTB Berlinettas were produced, but just a small number are the longnose variant

The sale offers just 35 of the finest motor cars, with the Ferrari expected to be the top performer. It hails from the celebrated Maranello Rosso Collection, which Bonhams offered earlier this year, selling a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO for a world record sum.

The 275 GTB is a rare longnose variant, and holds a £2m-3m ($3.2m-4.8m) estimate.

The 275 GTB Berlinetta was in production between 1964 and 1968, with 800 models produced. However, the longnose alloy variants were produced in much smaller numbers.

This example has been described by expert Marcel Massini as "one of the very best cars from the Maranello Rosso Collection. A real gem."

Chassis 08035 was originally sold to an Italian driver, who kept it for 10 years before selling it to Fabrizio Violati, an amateur racing driver, mineral-water magnate and now owner of the Maranello Rosso Collection.

It is one of the highlights of the collection's museum in San Marino.
