Broadway legend's classic Rolls could go for a song at Pebble Beach

Gooding & Company's Amelia Island sale on March had its share of million-dollar classic automobiles.

Among them were a number of gleaming Ferraris. These included, as we reported in our preview, a stunning 1960s Ferrari 275. In the end, Enzo's baby rolled to $1,155,000.

But high-end collectors who missed out on that event needn't worry, as Gooding & Co is already gearing up its next Pebble Beach auction.

The iconic 1960s Ferrari 275, a highlight at Gooding & Co's last sale

The legendary event, which is sure to boast some of the most striking cars on Earth, will take place on the weekend of August 20-21.

Among the highlights will be this 1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I Drophead Coupe. As well as boasting coachwork by HJ Mulliner, this Rolls also has stand-out provenance.

It was once owned and driven by none other than Frederick Loewe, the late Austrian-American composer whose achievements included helping to turn My Fair Lady and Camelot into long-running Broadway musicals.
