The entries come from all around the United Kingdom: Andover, Bath, Cheltenham, Chester, Dorking, Norwich, Nottingham and Silverstone.

But Chelmsford entries are particularly excited as it's the first time that the town has hosted the event.

Andrew Coe, CEO of International Motor Sports Ltd which organised the events commented "It's fantastic to be starting from Chelmsford for this year's event. We have had a great response from motorists in the local area."

Chelmsford's competitors include a 1973 Chrysler Valiant Charger, three Daimler SP250s from 1961-2, an AC Cobra Sports and Aston Martin DB6, both from 1968.

There are fabulous contributions from other areas too: a 1930 Rolls Royce Phantom II and 1934 Aston Martin Mk II, three 1969 Jaguar E-Types and several Porsches from Dorking, a 1982 Ferrari 308 GTBi from Andover and a 1969 Ferrari 365 GTC and 3 Jaguar E-types from Bath.

Fans of Robin Reliants and Hillman Imps need not be disappointed either though. They're all there.

Chelmsford's cars will start from Hylands at 8.30am, taking a route which will end at Silverstone with the others. The event is on Sunday September 20, a showcase of Britain's love of vintage and collectible cars.
