'Concours ready' Jaguar E-Type could roll to $95,000 in classic car sale

An undisputed classic car icon of 1960s motoring will be among a number of automotive highlights which are going under the hammer in Amelia Island, Florida, on March 9.

This 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8-Litre Coupe will carry a $75,000-95,000 presale estimate and role onto the auction block with no reserve, next weekend.

According to its lot notes, this Jaguar E-Type has been comprehensively restored. Various "sensible" mechanical upgrades have also been added.

The car boasts its original colour scheme, and a matching-numbers 3,782 CC DOHC Inline 6-Cylinder engine with three SU carburetors.
