An incredibly rare 1981 Lamborghini Countach 400S will be among the standout lots of the Silverstone Auctions Race Retro sale next month.
The car is one of only seven right-hand drive examples built, and was delivered new to the UK in 1982. Offered with a comprehensive history from new, the car comes with 38,221 miles on the clock and was featured in Chris Bennett's book Lamborghini Countach, published in 1993.

The car will now be offered with an estimated price of £200,000-£250,000 ($288,000-$360,250).
"The Lamborghini Countach is truly an iconic supercar and a car that every collector should take the opportunity to own at some point," said Nick Whale, managing director of Silverstone Auctions.
"This particular example is a fabulous piece of 1970's road art and is worthy of consideration, especially as a low-mileage 1981 LP400S-Series III has recently changed hands in the International market for a substantial sum, and other LP400S' appear to be changing hands for figures well in excess of our guide price here."
Notable British cars set to cross the block include a single-owner 1958 Aston Martin DB2/4 MKIII Saloon estimated at £160,000-£180,000 ($230,500-$260,000); a 1960 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe valued at £65,000-£75,000 ($93,700-$108,000); and an ex-works 1958 MGA Twin Cam Roadster with an impeccable racing history, estimated at £70,000-£80,000 ($100,800-$115,300).
The Silverstone Auctions sale takes place on February 28, as part of the Race Retro International Historic Motorsport Show 2016 at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, UK.
