Pop superstar Lady Gaga plays Poker Face |
As we've reported, auctioneer Charitybuzz has announced the opportunity for a lucky bidder to take home a guitar signed by both Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones this month.
The item, donated by Keith Richards himself, is currently hovering around its estimate of $5,000 with the auction closing on June 15.
A much more modern piece of memorabilia is also on offer: a Lady Gaga signed Steinway Grand Piano. This piano was signed by Lady Gaga during her soundcheck at the Robinhood Foundation Gala on May 9, 2011 in New York City.
Lady Gaga has brought her unique sound and outrageous looks to people all around the globe. Her debut album The Fame earned a total of six Grammy Award nominations and won awards for Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best Dance Recording.
In early 2009 she embarked on her first headlining tour, The Fame Ball Tour. By the fourth quarter of the year, she had released her second studio album The Fame Monster, with the global chart-topping lead single Bad Romance, and embarked on her second headlining tour of the year,
The Monster Ball Tour. Lady Gaga's next album, Born This Way was released on May 23, 2011.
Steinway & Sons has the reputation of crafting the world's finest pianos and that tradition certainly rings true with their beautiful Baby Grand.
Whether it proves to be a good alternative investment is yet to be seen - the Gaga one has certainly made an impact but has not yet demonstrated the longevity in the value of her collectibles which the Rolling Stones naturally have. The piano is expected to achieve $60,000 with the same closing date as the guitar.
