He's been deceased for almost exactly 30 years, yet John Lennon still gets the kind of press coverage that many of today's rock stars can only dream about.
The latest press reports concern another newly-unearthed piece of Lennon's legacy: a set of never-before-seen photographs which are going to auction in the UK.
Showing Lennon alongside his wife - and executor of his estate - Yoko Ono, the photographs were taken in New York on December 6, 1980, during the ex-Beatle's last ever interview.
The interview was conducted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Andy Peebles just two days before Lennon was shot dead by crazed fan Mark Chapman.
It's thanks to a collector that the photographs are today available on the market. Mark Hayward began amassing his thousands-strong collection of negatives and images around 1986.
In total, ten pictures of Lennon will be sold with copyright by auctioneer Cameo on November 3. They are estimated at £1,200.
