A 1972 David Russell Young Dreadnought acoustic guitar, owned and played by Gram Parsons, is estimated to exceed $200,000 at Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills.
It will provide the headline lot for the Vintage Guitars and Musical Instruments Signature Auction on February 15.
The guitar was played by Parsons on the 1973 Fallen Angels tour, his last before his untimely death at the age of 26, and has been on display in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio for the past decade.
It is constructed from Brazilian rosewood and features an intricate mother of pearl inlay.
