Single lot Hong Kong stamp collection could bring $128,000, this month

Dynasty Auctions, a Division of Daniel F. Kelleher Auctions, is presenting their first Asian Public Auction to be held in conjunction with the opening of their permanent fully staffed Hong Kong office.

There are a wide range of highly impressive Chinese and related stamps on offer, which will be watched eagerly following recent record-breaks, especially at Interasia.

Highlights include: the extraordinary "Little Flower" collection of China, which is rich in coverage through 1949, including wonderful Shanghai, Classic China & Postal History.

Hong Kong is headed by a comprehensive mint collection, ordered by the estate to be offered in its entirety as one lot.

Two highlights are a mint example of the elusive 96c Olive Bistre with accompanying Royal Certificate, plus the ultra-rare, 2c Rose perforation, 12 from the famous Worthington block, with a detailed Royal Certificate.

This is worth thinking about for a while. The collection is expected to sell for HK$750,000-1,000,000 (up to US$128,000) - and this following hot on the heels of Spink's world record for the only known 96c olive-bistre block of four.

The 1,500 lot auction takes place on March 26^th. Collectors and investors interested in stamps from the region may wish to take a look at these two rarities: an 1885 Chinese olive-yellow strip and this 1888 Taiwanese block of Horse and Dragons.
