After 10 years of waiting, America is once again hosting an international stamp exhibition.
World Stamp Show-NY 2016 is coming. And it's going to be immense.

Running from May 28 to June 4 at the Javits Center in Manhattan ,and sponsored by the American Philatelic Society, this is the first international stamp show in New York since FIPEX in 1956.
There will be more than 4,000 entrants to the competitions from collectors in 70 countries.
Some 200 dealers will also be present, offering visitors the opportunity to buy and sell.
There will also be invited exhibits and a court of honour, giving stamp fans the chance to see some of the gems of philatelic history. Most prestigious among them will be the 1856 British Guiana 1c Magenta, bought by shoe designer Stuart Weitzman for a philatelic record $9.5m in 2014.
And who knows, perhaps the recently rediscovered "Stolen Jenny" might also make an appearance; an example of the original plane will be at the exhibition.
Several auction houses will also be hosting sales in New York during this time, including Robert A Siegel, Daniel F Kelleher and HR Harmer.

Around 250,000 visitors are expected over the eight-day event, which is promising to be one for the ages.
