A 1954 MV Agusta 123.5cc Bialbero Racing Motorcycle is the headline lot of Bonhams' Autumn Stafford Sale at the Staffordshire County Showground, UK on October 19.
While MV Agusta's powerful four-strokes made the Italian manufacturer's reputation, it also produced a well received series of lightweight racing bikes.

Its riders dominated competitions between the late 1940s and early 1980s, winning more than 3,000 races (including 270 Grand Prix) and a staggering 37 world championships.
The consignor acquired the lot in poor condition in 1997 and fully restored it in 1998. It's expected to make £55,000-75,000 ($88,596-120,813).
A 1914 Flying Merkel 980CC V-Twin is valued at £50,000-70,000 ($80,542-112,758).
Joseph Merkel established his company in Wisconsin in 1901, growing it in to one of the most forward thinking manufacturers of its era.
Its bikes were built with rear suspension and telescopic forks at a time when most marques stuck to rigid frames.
This rare example was sold to a local aficionado after being discovered in a barn in Ohio in 1956. Since that time, it has received only minor cosmetic and mechanical work.
Other lots include a unique 1999 Kawasaki 676cc W650 Custom by Deus Ex Machina.
