Ayrton Senna is one of the most collectible drivers in history

The ends originate from the car that the hugely talented Senna drove to victory at the Monaco Grand Prix in 1987. Emblazoned with the Camel logo and professionally mounted with the Team Lotus design and registration plate, the lot closed at $31,250.

Senna (1960-1994) was one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1, before his career was cut short by his death at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. He is the most collectible of any Formula 1 driver today.

The auction saw top bids for motor racing items, such as the race suit worn by AJ Foyt at the 1976 International Race of Champions (IROC) - an oval race with identical stock cars to test driver ability. Signed by him, it sold for $25,000.

Foyt won the IROC series in 1976 and 1977.

Also selling well was Jacques Villeneuve's racesuit from 1995, the year he won the CART Championship and the Indy 500. With his name across the waist and his initials on the label, it made $18,750.

Paul Fraser Collectibles has a signed menu from Jim Clark for sale, as well as a Sebastian Vettel signed photograph.
