Georg Wittig's 1979 Nobel Prize in Chemistry could make upwards of $95,000 in Heritage Auctions' October 19 Historical Manuscripts sale.
Wittig (1897-1987) was awarded the prize for his 1954 discovery of the Wittig reaction, which is key to preparing alkenes in organic synthesis.

Nobel Prizes have started to appear on the market in large numbers over the past couple of years.
The record is $4.7m, paid for DNA discoverer James Watson's medal in 2014.
Mathematician John Nash's Nobel Prize is up for auction at Sotheby's on October 17.
The sale will feature an eclectic range of lots, including a carte de visite signed by Abraham Lincoln.
The photograph that appears on the card was taken by Matthew Brady, Lincoln's preferred portraitist, on February 9, 1864.
The portrait of Lincoln that appears on the five dollar bill was taken in the same sitting.
It's valued in excess of $25,000.
Earlier this month an exceptional and rare signed photograph of Lincoln made $175,000.
There's a wealth of other Lincoln memorabilia, including an 1864 letter secretary of war to Edwin Stanton urging him to promote a colonel in the Union army to brigadier general.
