The World's Largest Whisky Auction took place in at McTear's in Glasgow, last week.
Starring among more than 700 lots offered was a 50-year-old bottle of Macallan whisky. It sold to a New York buyer for a £12,350 - a record sale for a Macallan.
The 50-year-old bottling originated from three barrels distilled between 1926 and 1928. The offered lot was bottle #62 of just 500.
Elsewhere in the same sale, a 50-year-old Glenfiddich sold for £10,600.
Our Video of the Week was filmed prior to the sale, in which a representative of McTear's explains why collectors and investors descended on Glasgow for a real taste of Scottish heritage.
